SHARING OUR RESOURCES, PROMOTING EXCELLENCE

Office of Acceleration & Innovation is creating a resource sharing program, allowing Polk schools access to tools, resources and support by our department. This spring we started a Bee Bot check out initiative for K-2 teachers. Bee Bots are programmable robots that help students in grades K-2 make first steps in Computer Science, emphasize computation and critical thinking and  help mastery of content areas through engaging, hands on experiences. Through this program, all Polk's K-2 teachers can request a "hive", a class set, of Bee Bots  for a two week activity in their classroom. Along with Bee Bots, the Office of Acceleration and Innovation provides resources and support for classroom innovation.
