CAMBRIDGE AICE
The Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) is an accelerated method of academic studyoffered solely through the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), a division of the University of Cambridge. AICE provides a flexible, broad-based curriculum that is offered worldwide at schools and colleges in over 161 countries, and is recognized by the Florida State Department of Education as a rigorous curriculum.
For schools that offer AICE courses, eligible students may take specific AICE courses in isolation, or work to earn an AICE diploma. To earn an AICE diploma, students must pass seven credits worth of college-level examinations that are given at the end of AICE courses -- mostly in the 11th and 12th grades. At least one examination must come from each of the four subject groups: Mathematics & Sciences, Languages, Arts & Humanities and Interdisciplinary & Skills Based Subjects.
For the 2018-19 school year, AICE courses are available for eligible students at Winter Haven Senior High School.
For more information about specific courses or the AICE program, please contact Winter Haven Senior High School or visit www.cie.org.uk.
