SUMMER ENGINEERING CHALLENGES
Task in a Box is a fun engineering challenge for students to get excited about a new year in our magnet STEM programs. Students can choose one of the four engineering challenges below. Bring your completed challenge to your homeroom teacher, either during Orientation or the first week of school. Parents are welcome to participate in the challenge along with students.

ENGINEERING CHALLENGES
An engineering challenge is an open ended design problem that students solve following the steps of the engineering design process depicted below. Since engineers always have to balance pros and cons, such as costs and regulations vs design and materials, each of the challenge options has constraints. As you engage in your challenge, make sure that you review and work under design constraints.
